A Note from Wellness Manager David-Dorian Ross:
SPRING SPOTLIGHT: Have a Happy and Healthy Spring Break
1) Be Active. During your break, take the opportunity to start or re-start a fitness program. We all benefit from regular, moderate-intensity physical activity for at least 30 minutes most days of the week.
2) Avoid Excessive Exposure to the Sun. It's always tempting to stay out in the sun while on vacation, but protection from sun exposure is important all year round. Excessive exposure can result in premature aging and/or skin cancer. Wear your sunscreen!
3) Sustain your Body with Fuel. Having fun takes energy and fuel so eat healthy. Eat a variety of good foods and drink lots of water.
4) Pamper Yourself. Allow yourself some 'me time' by booking a spa appointment. It's okay to just let go and relax. This is about you.
5) Remember to Have Fun. Keep in mind that this is your spring training time. It's a time for fun, light-hearted exercise. If you want to try something new and unique, come to one of the Wellness Center exercise classes. You're sure to have a great time and burn calories!

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:
Thalassic Beach Walk: The Thalassic walk involves the full exploitation of the ocean, air and climate. On your journey you will experience and learn why scientists have hailed seawater as the "soup of life." Your trainer will guide you on a path down to the beach, which will include walking barefoot in the ocean and sand at a brisk pace, meditation time by the ocean's edge and an overview of the benefits of the sea.
Please wear shorts, as you will be near the ocean's edge and might get wet. We will supply the sandals.
Mat Pilates: Class that focuses on specific exercises designed to strengthen the torso stabilizer muscles. The benefits associated with stronger torso muscles include improved posture, pelvic stability, spinal mobility, and sculpted abs. More than Mat -Stretch, Strengthen, and Stabilize your body by performing exercises that emphasize on the core muscles. Pilates Plus - A step beyond basic mat exercises, take on creative and challenging movements to help lengthen internal muscle groups, improve posture, and stabilize the pelvic region.
Yoga: Restorative Yoga - Therapeutic and energizing yoga movements to improve flexibility, strength, posture, and balance. Yoga Pump - Get the benefits of yoga postures as well as weight training, small hand weights added to a yoga flow gives you a complete workout. Montage Yoga Ritual - A Montage Signature Class - Experience the ancient practice of bringing body, breath and mind into balance with our Master Yoga instructors. Enjoy the experience with creative visualization and candlelight meditation. All levels welcome.
Morning Energy Stretch: Improve range of motion, posture, and mobility by adding energizing stretches to start your day.
Piloga: A fusion of Eastern & Western, modern & ancient techniques of a mind/body approach to the elements between Yoga and Pilates. It is a completely innovative system combining these two amazing art forms.
Chakra Flow: Through breath work, creative movement, yoga and Pilates style exercises, this class will naturally shape & sculpt your body into a work of art. This class is a perfect blend of cardio and dance movements featuring different dance styles and music. Burn fat, tone muscles, increase aerobic endurance, improve flexibility and have lots of fun!
Global Dance: Experience the dance and music from around the world while learning new choreography that takes you to another place. Salsa, Belly dancing, Hip-Hop, Tai Chi and other styles of cultural dance will entice your senses along with shaping your body.
Hip-Hop: High-energy freestyle movements set to contemporary urban music, fun way to burn calories and improve coordination.
Beach Bootcamp: Exercise your heart and body but prepare to sweat! These classes will provide strength and flexibility for life's physical demands and activities. Enjoy a heart-pumping and exhilarating class on the beach. You will be put to the test through a series of intervals, sprints, pushups, and stair climbing, finishing up with a hardcore abdominal workout.
BOSU: Working on both dome and platform side of this training ball, you will receive the ultimate shock to your workout routine. A different variety of exercises that will build muscular strength, enhance agility, and overall balance.
Balanced Body: Re-shape your body and strengthen your muscles by fusing principles from traditional body sculpting, functional training, core & balance work. Focus on form, alignment and body awareness with this refreshing approach to exercise and movement.
More than Core: A complete workout focusing on the abs, back, hips, & glutes. 30 minutes dedicated to the core!
Cycle Montage: All our indoor cycling classes offer an intense workout done on special LeMond stationary bikes that helps increase endurance and works the lower body, focusing on the quads, glutes, and hamstrings.
Montage Water Workout: Imagine a fun and challenging workout with cardio exercises that combine aerobic, strength and core training -- all down in the pool! Water supports the body while adding gentle resistance to every movement. Our special twist: in the Montage Water Workout you'll also learn to do Pilates, yoga and T'ai Chi in the pool.
MONTAGE FITNESS FACILITY POLICIES: Must be 16 years of age or older. Shirts & closed-toed shoes required. No cell phones allowed.
