Julie M. Raistrick, Spa Director
Raistrick joined Spa Montage in November 2003 and has played an integral role in helping Spa Montage garner the first-ever Mobil Five-Star Award given to a spa. She is responsible for day-to-day operations, working closely with operational staff. Prior to Montage, she served as spa director at the Natural Body Day Spa and was health club manager at Corporate Sports Unlimited, both in Atlanta, GA. A certified health fitness instructor through the American College of Sports Medicine, Raistrick received a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from Ohio University and a Master of Science degree in Exercise Science from Georgia State University.
David-Dorian Ross, Wellness Manager
David-Dorian Ross joined Montage in 2006 as wellness manager. Ross is responsible for developing and managing the spa's fitness, wellness and cultural programs.A certified personal trainer and T'ai Chi, yoga and pilates instructor, Ross holds the title of a four-time U.S. National T'ai Chi performance gold medalist, as well as a silver and two-time bronze world champion medalist.
Prior to joining Spa Montage, Ross was the resident T'ai Chi master at Rancho La Puerta. Ross' experience includes positions with the Ojaj Valley Inn & Spa and the Oregon Governor's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports. He also was a professor in the health technologies department at Portland Community College and regional director for the National Association on Health & Fitness.
Ross won the 2005 Aegis Award for best overall education documentary for his "T'ai Chi Beginner's Practice" instruction video. Most recently, Ross has been awarded two 2006 Aegis awards for two newly realeased DVD's: T'ai Chi Daily Practice and the T'ai Chi Beginners' Practice kit. He has authored, "Exercising the Soul – How T'ai Chi Nurtures the Body and Mind," and "Power, Freedom and Flow – The Journey to Health and Happiness." Ross also produced and starred in "T'ai Chi in Paradise," a 13-part series for PBS.
Ross holds a degree in human movement studies from San Francisco State University.
